Creative and therapeutic art workshops for Youth battling cancer, held at

The Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital

Operation: Art is a collaborative nonprofit project founded and directed by Taneal and staff from the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital held in the You Can Youth Cancer Center.

As a Registered Nurse, Taneal uses art to provide a therapeutic and creative outlet from her daily stressors, and express in a way that words cannot.

Taneal’s aim is to provide that same outlet to the young patients by hosting monthly workshops and sharing her tips and tricks, and having some fun along the way!

If you are/or know of a young adult who has experienced a cancer diagnosis, please get in contact with myself or Cancer Care Coordinator Janine at janine.deevy@health.qld.gov.au you can also join
Taneal’s Private Facebook Community Group or follow the Operation: Art instagram to be the first to secure a spot and hear news about current or future workshops.

All workshops are 100% free with all supplies provided, and a guaranteed day of fun, connection and creativity in a stress free environment.

If you think you can help out the project in any way, please
get in touch!

Operation Art x National Youth Cancer Consumer Forum 2023

This mural is a collaboration of Operation Art and Youth Advisory Members (YAG) from different parts of Australia. YAG members shared their personal coping strategies from their cancer experiences, which were incorporated into the mural's design, with hopes to inspire other members or youth experiencing cancer. A therapeutic and meaningful experience in the realm of cancer care and support.

This mural was a memorable project, leaving a positive impact on everyone involved. Bringing people together in sharing experiences of resilience and hope.
