Painted in the moment I finally received ethics approval and began recruitment for my research project, Breakthrough holds the emotional whiplash of that milestone. The relief of progress was quickly met with the familiar tension of self-doubt - questions of readiness, responsibility, and imposter syndrome rising as the project became real.
