‘Dark & Stormy’ is a deeply personal reflection of a
recent challenging period in my life. After months
spent in Sydney, grappling with my mother’s acute
illness, I returned to my studio, seeking solace through creation.

This piece embodies the tumult of emotions I faced,
illustrated through textured ripples that strive for a
singular flow yet reveal the chaotic nature of my
experience.

The composition, dominated by dark blues with
glimmers of metallic, symbolizes both the depths of
despair and the sparks of hope that emerged amidst
the turmoil. Each stroke is a testament to my journey
of self-expression and healing, transforming pain
into a visual narrative that resonates with the
universal human experience.
