Like these roses, this relationship had thorns. I believe any first love has some form or level of toxicity, intertwined with raging hormones and puberty and it’s a recipe for drama. Looking back none of those dramas or problems mean anything now, and among a multitude of things I learnt from that relationship, what I deserved was one – and relationships aren’t always rosy (pardon the pun).
